Let's Decorate the Christmas Tree

We had a lot going on throughout our 4 day Thanksgiving break, and did absolutely nothing related to Christmas preparation. So, it was the following weekend that we chose one full day for holiday house decorating, and the next evening we immersed ourselves in our traditional tree trimming fun. We prepared some freshly baked cookies, hot chocolate for Kayli, a nice red wine for Kathy, and put some fun Christmas tunes on! We both still love to listen to Jim Cosgrove's crazy Christmas songs!

we even found a nice decorative collar to get Sprinkles in the mood!

decorating the tree is one of my favorite holiday activities, now that I have a tree with permanent lights. I love reminiscing about all the different ornaments I've collected or received as gifts over the years, like this one I bought for myself my first Christmas with Kayli!

we have to add an armful of crystal balls to reflect the lights on the tree...
