Girl Scout Christmas Party

The Girl Scouts had a fabulous Christmas party at a nearby church hall. The various troops had been working on making some type of handmade items to sell to each other tonight. I offered to help supervise this party, so I was there for the whole thing! The first hour was a market time where the girls walked from table to table and did their "Christmas Shopping." Kayli's troop made these handpainted bottles that sold out quickly!
there were so many "treasures" to be had...
like this authentic Santa hat...
after the market closed, the girls went into another room for snacks, crafts, games...
(amazing that Kayli just happened to have that little green purse at home to match her green Girl Scout vest!)
                                   and Santa...
there was a DJ for dancing, or just being silly...
Below, you will see, a collage I made of Kayli and her friend at the Girl Scout party in Kindergarten, next to the one from now (4th grade) Boy has time flown by!!!
the last event of the night was getting each troop to line up in front of this backdrop for a couple of pictures.
we thought we were all done, then discovered that two of our girls had missed the picture. So, we did another round...
all in all, a good time was had by ALL!
